Forward-view Endoscopic Optical Coherence Tomography for Needle-based Interventions
Abstract
During my five-year Ph.D. academic career at the University of Oklahoma, I would first express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Qinggong Tang. I really appreciate your assistance with both my research studies and daily life. At the beginning of my Ph.D. journey, I was unfamiliar with many aspects of the program and faced a lot of challenges. Dr. Tang was consistently kind and patient, offering guidance whenever I had difficulties in this new environment. He has helped me in different aspects of my new life at OU and made me become accustomed to the new research projects. As a student who had no prior experience in the biomedical field, I was often confused in the engineering principles, research papers, and experimental work. Dr. Tang always patiently taught me how to approach research problems and execute specific tasks effectively. He has also provided me with lots of suggestions regarding my future development plans. His intelligence and character will always inspire me in my future career.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all my collaborators who have contributed significantly to our research projects. Special thanks to Dr. Wei Chen, an outstanding professor of biomedical engineering. He has given me a lot of valuable advice in different academic conferences and activities. During our collaboration I have gained a lot of experience about biological experiments and cancer treatment. I am also grateful to Dr. Chongle Pan from the School of Computer Science. He is very knowledgeable in computer science, machine learning and artificial intelligence. His work has been very helpful in the establishment of our medical imaging platform. Also, I extend my thanks to Dr. Kar-ming Fung for his assistance in pathological work and providing guidance on various aspects of cancer diagnosis and treatment. Moreover, I would like to acknowledge Dr. Javier A. Jo Pun Kay and Dr. Song Fang for their substantial support throughout my Ph.D. program. Their help has been important to my academic career.
I would also like to thank all my lab members and friends from different countries. Without your help and support I would never have the achievements today. I will always memorialize our experiences on our collaborations, the conferences we attended together, and our trips to the national parks.
Finally, I would like to express my thanks to my family for their unwavering support throughout my whole life. My love for you is endless and will always endure!
